"La Civetta"  is one of five restored from a large old farmhouse on the estate of Villa Fondora. The villa dates back to the 12th century and one famous guest was Dante who stayed here from 1311-1313. 

The apartment is 250 metres above sea level and enjoys spectacular views over Lucca and the Lucca plain extending as far as Pistoia and Montecatini.
 
  
Guests wanting to rent the apartment can enjoy a spacious 100 square metres , furnished in typical Tuscan style with cottage interiors and antique pieces.
 
It composes of 3 double bedrooms ( two double beds and two singles) 1 bathroom (with shower) large open plan sitting room and kitchen, private entrance and cottage style garden with wisteria clad shaded pergola for outside dining. The new hand built kitchen is equipped with marble sink, tops and brass fittings and comes with all modern conveniences.
 
 
We provide fresh cotton sheets, swimming pool towels, and a weekly clean and change of sheets.
 
There is a welcome basket on arrival consisting of bottle of our organic olive oil, pasta, pasta sauce, bottle of water, Prosecco and a bottle of Lucchesi red wine from one of the nearby vineyards Maria Teresa, Forci, or Greo.

There is a large 15x8m pool with areas to relax around it, plus a play area for children with a table tennis  table & swings.

Excellent restaurants & shops are a short 5 min car ride from the apartment.

Availability : 
All the year around. The pool is opened from 1st of May (but it has been warm enough to swim in April) . In winter months from about November - March the apartment is very cosy due to the highly efficient gas central heating throughout.
